Infinix Mobility Limited, one of the leading smartphone makers, has unveiled Nigerian music artiste, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, as its ambassador to flag the brand to its young target users through the art of music.
Speaking at the media unveiling, Infinix Marketing Communications Manager, Adetayo Odunowo, said apart from consistently dishing out world class gadgets, Infinix understands the dynamics of its fans to be more of young trendsetters, and so is Davido’s fans, “so his coming on board is a welcome development to the company.”
He said Davido, being one of the biggest music artistes coming from Africa in recent times, shared a similar aim to meet the need of their target audience, “It’s no coincidence that we have come together to form a cohesive partnership.”
Odunowo remarked that both brands are both trendsetters that possess similar fan base built to challenge the norm with their ideas and line of work.
“We are both tech savvy entities that have built their reputation on the emphasis for top notch delivery, Infinix through their smartphones and Davido through his music,” he added.
He noted that a lot of strategies can be linked to the uprising of the brand, and one of them is being able to understand the extent of connection of its target audience to certain pivotal aspects of Pop culture, and creating affiliations with notable icons to propel the brands to new heights.
